A licensed preacher, Pastor John H. Walker is a husband, father, and grandfather.

He was licensed to preach in 1982 at the New Way Fellowship Baptist Church in Miami, Florida. He was ordained in 1990–2002 as Minister of Christian Education at Faith Memorial Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Pastor Walker graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Moreover, he earned a master’s degree in social work from the School of Social Work in Wayne State University.

On top of his already impressive credentials, he attended the Tampa Bay Theological Seminary and the Dallas Theological Seminary earning a MACE degree in 2011.

From January 2006 to the present, he is the Assistant Pastor at Faith Memorial Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida.
